Previously I had written another mensajillo that you also had asked the question of density and then I formulated two questions that do not know if you have come, since I did write the error message. We sums to see if you give me your opinion:
Do you see possibility of adapting this methodology to the grassroots in terms of the aspects to be developed at different ages?
For example reducing the physical qualities of the child less tolerant as lactic metabolisms or explosive forces in favor of a better technical work.
In your experience: How meroja margin technique has a professional footballer? Do you think the basis is not very difficult at older ages?
There is a widespread view that what is not achieved between the ages of great sensitivity to the development of these skills can not be improved, but to me, you know that I am a dreamer, I am struck by cases like Jose Calderon Manula ( basket) who went from being a mediocre shooter in the NBA beginning to get very high percentages.
This question is new:
He always spoke of the physical-technical-tactical and sometimes psychological, social .... but ... Do you think in the case of football any of these factors is more relevant or need more work than the rest?
Sorry if it's a little intermingled but I write when I saw your response to me a thousand new questions arose in the head.
Thanks for your attention!
Hi Miguel
Although I long ago lost sight of this world, my idea of grassroots football is always working with a global approach in which nearly 100% of the time ball games are made (possessions, parties, etc). Do not believe much in analytical technical exercises "steal" time to dicisiones making situations. The two aspects, the coordinator (the technique) and cognitive (tactics) must always go hand in hand and even the evolution of the conditional capacities should be subject to the evolution of the previous two!
Having said that I would say that there are many interesting books with content that some of this global approach. Among which those of Alex and Cesar Sanx Frattarola: "manual for the organization and training of youth football schools" or "grassroots training" Ed ESM. SL
Albert Hello, my name is Adrian Navarro, Bachelor of Physical Education, currently working at the Club Guarani of Paraguay from the 08 in professional football, I have always handled with the traditional planning (Matveiev) but for this I will implement Closing the methodology develop in your book. I hope that if you have some kind of progress and update you comment me, I am at your disposal, from already thank you very much.
Hello Adrian
It fills me with pride and joy to know that people across the world to develop its work with the methodology that I summarized in my blog. Honestly, I have to say I have not updated anything on it and I am researching and very "stuck" at this time with the issue of Tactical Periodization Portuguese school. I understand that the latter approach, even taking some questions unanswered, is now my dedicaciónbpues discover new ways to view the training process in a more consistent team sports. I think the same way you did you, that we see, taste and, if necessary, change the things we believe appropriate as this world and the science surrounding it are changing and evolving. We always have to be demanding of ourselves!
Warm regards
Thanks Albert for your prompt response, today this space will be continuing consultation on your methodology. I understand football from your look, perhaps because I was a professional footballer in the rise divisions of Argentine football with the ball as a key element for the preparation of the player.
I leave my blog so you can see when time allows. I really like to have your comments.

At your disposal. Greetings.
Hello, I was wondering if you could recommend training literature applied to the grassroots. I am a football coach and I work to smaller, I have always the fear of "happen" because I know I could be perudicial to your health. I try to train as an integrated approach, with many games and ball. But I would like to deepen in the schedule of sessions, so you can work well in endurance without getting into dangerous territory. On the other hand, what would apply, for example Child, the principles used for microcycle structured? (Logically adapted to the age). Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Dear Albert:
I return to use his excellent disposition, told him that I am physical education teacher and I am preparing my thesis, which is related to the "Assessment of the physical training in football," where we have chosen the methodology as a basis for observing our reality, is a professional club in Chile, in this instance we want to apply a tool that you mention in your book, specifically the POMS, which refers to a study by JL Martinez applied to the Spanish club Deportivo, we would like to have a little more information about how to interpret the information obtained, the objective sought to achieve, the results obtained.
Hoping to count on your help or to contact us directly with Mr. Martinez, atte goodbye to you,

Hi Albert, congratulations on your career within the world of football. I Degree and Diploma in Physical Education, Masters in football and coach. Your methodology began to study some years ago in the grassroots and also with great interest the Tactical Periodization so famous. Well, your methodology is very successful and even went to Barcelona to see some training a few days but I get the step at which a senior team and I think that I'm looking forward and seems that a you can also Tactical Periodization, but now I wonder how competitive tasks may take a structure based on principles and model subprinciples game? Or directly attached to planning taking into account the pattern morfociclo periodization. There are many questions but I would like to know your opinion. A greeting
Hi Albert, I'm happy for this new challenge, I have no doubt that the problems of adaptation to this different culture you are going to meet with dedication and professionalism.
Successes and soon.
Hello Toni
Forgive the delay in response. I had problems in the blog and a new job ...
As for your question, I think not mix concepts and methodologies. If you follow the holistic approach would have to switch the type of tasks (general, targeted special and competitive) and "spread" in planning for your team. If on the other hand, you choose a methodology and Tactical Periodization you in (if you can .. and / or you leave the coach) to employ and to assume a structure based on these principles and sub-speaking early this methodology. Not all competitive task (comprehensive methodology) for a specific tactical purpose ...
A greeting
Albert Hey how are you so long! Gonzalo de los Santos'm from Uruguay and good contact me to get a consultation.
As we know now is a soccer football where I think the parties are defined in transitions who works best (defensive) above! .
The question is whether the preparation of a football team can be deterrminado just making training even transition (at least in my game model) that is set up some ejerciccios, several where the intensity of this exercise is high, yet leave our players with clear ideas of the sections of those even transition.
In short: I can work the tranciciones my game model with an intensity similar to a game? Are they beneficial? Is there some other kind of training that is tailored to the even transition? .
From already thank you very much and your word is always welcome big hug
Hello Gonzalo
We are using right now working as the foundation Methodology of Periodization TACTIC (adapted to a selection of course). Following the same philosophy and its principles and Sub-base all our exercises early in 5 sections representing the 5 key moments that can occur in a game:
1. Static Attack
2. Defense
3. Transition Defense - Attack
4. Attack Transition - Defense
5. Set pieces (defensive and offensive)
There are professionals that mix different concepts (eg attack transition defense - defense) but that's not important. What matters is that your philosophy of play you give more weight to one phase to another and work with it more exercises in this regard.
We are now in Saudi Arabia and due to the characteristics of the team (national team) we thought (training only carry 2) seek to improve the transition attack - defense using withdrawal as a concept INTENSIVE priority. (After you add probably sub-concepts such as pressure + withdrawal). To do this, we use several exercises, all specific to develop it.
One of the exercises is on a 11 x 11 with the rules you want (two taps, so the goal is worth all should be in their midfield, etc) but with the basic condition that the equipment turnover Otherwise (ie, he stole and now has the ball) must make a pass backward (retarded janitor or defense) to continue the game normally ... that simple detail is the signal that the team will now advocates for replicate rapidly and intensively to the midfield.
It is an exercise that can generate a lot of intensity to the defensive team (especially when you already know the year) as the team also makes the transition stolen defense-attack as quickly as possible to try to surprise the opponent ... despite the conditioning of backward pass.
Obviously you will have your own way of seeing the transition and adapt the exercises have to modify those parameters as needed, and create variants that can improve your initial proposal.
Hope that helped a little
Warm regards
Enrique Forgive the delay in my response ... I had problems with my Blog
In response to your question you will be very esplícito: Search Joan Soler literature on team sports. It details very well why and how of load quantification UC (unit load). I think my blog is detailed anyway ...
A greeting
Dear Francisco
I think what you mention is very interesting since the charge represented in UC (unit loads) and conditional + charge relating specific load value would be modified by a subjective question (of the value contributed by the player) thereby improving still further, the reliability of the assessment process.
Thanks for your input
Hello Henry
If you look closely, the values of Unit Charge (UC) are given by a simple mathematical operation specified in the report. For more information look will tell you that Joan Solé literature: "Planning for Sports Training" ... great book! is a great professional with whom I had the opportunity to work in my time at FC Barcelona
Hello, Alberto Roca, my name is luis I'm Mexican I'm 24 years old to enter the Master of High Performance in Team Sports in the INEFC, and my question is simple and can be up to practice your response, I recommend or advise us to the new students to the master to do and not do for, it would be helpful to your motivation or your comment that a character like you with such humility and seriousness by being professional is increasingly very fruitful for me, well thank you very much for your attention and time .. greetings from Mexico
success in all
I sincerely believe that if you're heavily involved in team sports this is a very appropriate Master for getting a good profit. Both professionals who lead and teach the program as are most appropriate and interesting, and especially for someone coming from a stream as different as yours. I'm sure that will change your way of understanding the processes of training. I must also say that not all speakers advocate the same philosophy but that is your ability to distinguish and know how to locate the different concepts providing you go. Hope you enjoy!
Dear Albert, I read your book and I am personally following their methodology, as you can ... in his book refers wing integrated approach, "this approach presumes an integration and combination of different types of cargo, but the common denominator This methodology is always the technique and tactics. Through her develop the other qualities involved in the performance. " My question is whether the other qualities involved in the performance relate to conditional motor skills (strength, speed, endurance and flexibility) or refers to other qualities.
attn. and appreciative of their knowledge.
Cristian
HI Bob:
thank you for the time and attention, I want to focus all of football, with the first comment, I realized that would have all sports multidisciplinary, and the truth I chose this Masters, that is directed by one of the most recognized coaches in Spain and Europe, Francisco Seriun-lo, and that you are near the club, so I dared to contact you, and hope you continue to succeed and hard work and THANK Greetings
Hello Albert:
I always arises the doubt to the planning of what would be the optimal duration mesocycles, microcycles etc. .. within the tactical concepts developed (static attack, transition defense, attack), as peridizarias in annual planning of a team?, always use that order?.
Thank you very much.
Lucky for all of you in the selection Arabia.
I would plan always in season and with a new team starting defense (general principles, system, defensive variants) and transition offense and defense, continuity of play. Then attack (general principles, systems and possible variants) and continuity of the game, ie attack-defense transition. Like many cited in the Tactical Periodization I also believe that the phases in a sport like football are so fast and continued that work should focus on exercises and ways that benefit plays two transitions (defense, attack and attack-defense). Therefore microcycle planning seeks to emphasize and improve these aspects, taking into account "also" the strengths and weaknesses of the rival.
Thank you for such courage!
Hello Cristian
The truth is that the structures are combined ... not only are the cognitive structure (course) with the coordinating structure (technical) and / or the conditional structure (F, V, R, Flex) but also those that detail in my report, namely ... the E. socio-emotional, E. Creative-expressive and E. emotional-volitional!
As Professor Paco Seirul.lo, the solution lies in creating "preferential simulated" real tasks of interaction that is necessary to resolve the optimization of any of these systems, some of these structures over others.
The player is constantly evolving and adapting where interrelation feelings, emotions, information processing, social relationships with peers and opponents, intelligence ... and therefore training should focus as an "organized whole" which is the general theory Systems.
The report also are examples of tasks with clear objectives set for the combination of these structures that I speak and although at first can be complicated to run you'll see that the development and practice exercises have their rationale and are an inherent part of the Integrated Methodology.
Warm regards
Greetings from Panama, my name is Francisco Bech, and I had written the day June 10, 2010, where tuvistes graciously answer a few questions that you perform. He was then assistant coach of a team of the first division of my country and I am now the Coordinator of Technical Development Department of the Panamanian Soccer Federation. I write because I have in office only about 4 months, and we are making changes at national level, such as courses, seminars and technical workshops, tactical, physical preparation, administration and many others. I dare realizarte a proposal knowing that you only wrote once, and we really do not know personally and especially since the other side of the computer to a world-class trainer, winner of Europe. I wonder if there is any possibility to talk of such seminars or project in my country, being as I explain at the time a country boy and football growing. If you are interested in talking about it, I like that I write to my personal email dtbech@hotmail.es or I have in the federation fbech@fepafut.com already honored me to concidero write these words. Waiting for your prompt response, and wishing the best in your career and success with the selection of Saudi Arabia, greetings, Francisco
Hello Henry
See the bibliography of Joan Solé, "Planning Team Sports" ... this topic is very well specified!
Hello teacher. chevere is always important to listen is a virtue to improve, knowing one's goals a reality based on the past is history the future is uncertain, this is a gift from God that must take advantage of 100%, knowing that excites good work is good planning, and the boys game, game, game and very excited ....

Hello Albert:
I would like to ask you a question about the optimal duration carga.En page 63 where you explain you put a table methodology (adapted from Jimenez et al 1993), but such charges as should be the optimum duration to achieve the desired results?
Thank you very much for your kindness.
Hi Albert.
In the modified table of Jimenez et al 1993, the work of such charges which should be optimal duration to achieve the desired results?.
Thank you for your kindness.
Good morning mr. Rock
I am contacting you because I am preparing an event for training and retraining for soccer coaches in Spain focused on the integration of training, reflecting the three major theories that have been finding me throughout my life as a coach, Rafa Benitez integrated training, formal training as you develop and tactical periodization and from Portugal.
I would like this issue to contact me to see if I could have you here, what date and under what conditions.
I await your response by mail if you do not mind.
Thank you very much for your attention, best regards
albert hello how are you? congratulations on the result and I imagine will be difficult to adapt to a world quite difernete the European football.
I would like to know in a normal training week is Sunday and Sunday with parties which would be your ideal day off, Monday or Tuesday? and as develop, based on that then compare it and see its peculiarities.
thank you very much and greetings to all from Uruguay Gonzalo de los Santos
Hi Albert, I would like if possible to discuss some important references for the study of periorización tactics. Actually I'm trying to do on my computer and would be interested in learning more about this methodology.
Thank you.
Hi Albert, I would like if possible to comment on some main references Periorización tactics. Would be very interested in learning more about this methodology and I know of no reference to help me.
Thank you.
Hi Albert,
I am a regional-class player like me to contact you because I'm living a nightmare of muscle injuries and I find neither source nor solution. Could you tell me if you have a private practice in barcelona?
Thanks
Hello, Bruno
First of all tell you that I am not a physiotherapist. You should contact any of them. There are excellent professionals and if you want I can recommend to anyone. However, if that I can talk to you about that can be many causes to produce a muscle injury and how, from the standpoint of physical trainer trying to prevent.
1. Genetic question: unfortunately this is one of the causes for which no treatment. Only prevention can minimize them.
2. Muscle imbalance: after a knee injury, ankle or muscle and muscle affected limb usually have some weakness with respect to each other. There is a problem of intra-muscular coordination and inter-muscle may lead to new microroturas in the fibers of agonists and / or synergists. The trainer must assess the imbalance and act accordingly, ie, increasing muscle tone and strength of the affected extremity to the other relates to minimizing the risk of relapse.
3. Lack of strength. In many cases this is a factor but you should know how and in what proportion work with. It's a matter of making a program to improve the overall strength with emphasis not only on but also agonist-antagonists. Normally, the hamstrings are the main protagonists in many of the injuries of professional football. There is too much imbalance between the quadriceps and ischia ...
4. Poor diet, tooth decay and dental problems, little rest, pessimism and stress are causes that can lead to muscle tears. You know if you are within this clinical picture and treat you with the specialist.
Finally say that in all the professional teams where I worked we always have a prevention plan based on coordination exercises, dynamic equilibrium (so-called proprioception) to improve strength and try to reduce the risk of injury. You can do only with the help of a professional, appropriate to that end surfaces (Bosu, cymbals, etc). We also work with a lot of tight muscular strength (also called Russian belt) ... there is extensive information on the Internet. This is for movement (eccentric and isometric contractions) with the help of this belt. Studies show surprising results. The platform and belt costs around 250 euros but worth it ...
Hello Gonzalo
I must tell you it's one of the main topics that for a trainer and coach. I have done all possible combinations! It must be said first that each player is different and some people recover quickly and others that cost much more and they not only suffered physical wear but by the stress of the competition ... that makes the work more difficult.
I am in favor of going to change the recovery phase depending on the time of the season. Let me explain ... the beginning (first 2 / 3 months) the players can tolerate higher physical demands and stress is smaller post-competitive with what I take to rest on Monday and make a load of general type (race + progressions + ROM exercises Abd joint + / lumbar / back) on Tuesday morning or afternoon as we had the game out or at home.
At other times of the season (especially in the second round of the season) a brief floor session recovery (+ bike + Abd Range of Motion / back / back) on Mondays and Tuesdays we rest. So on Wednesday morning, the player has recovered much at all levels.
It is important to alternate these two dynamics based on direct observation (you have much experience with it) and you can perform a test (there are thousands of choices in the literature but I am in favor of maximum test never realize they are an added stress that the player usually hate! ... with sub-maximal tests or other medical evaluation, blood tests to check the relationship between testosterone-cortisol-control of resting heart rate, Borg scale or POMS (which is a personal assessment of fatigue).
However, there is an aspect that is paramount is the motivation! A well run team from the start with achievable goals, where all players are committed and which will endure what I call "positivism" provides greater assurance of post-party recovery. So we have to bear this in mind and act accordingly. We must be the first to provide "positivism" the team even when things go wrong. I have done everything to break the negative dynamics that you would laugh (New Zealand Haka dance before workouts, bracelet MVP of the week, music from Rocky, etc) but many times I have worked!
Hello David
Sorry the delay in my reply but since I'm in Saudi Arabia with the issue of selection I find it sometimes difficult to bring the blog as I wanted. You should clarify that event is, where and on what date you plan to do. I anticipate that my work will be tough for you to travel to Spain but if I can I will try ...

Hi Albert,
I come from the world of basketball. I know the major differences between the integrated methodology and periodization tactics.
Think that the latter can also be applied to basketball?
I think the world of the basket worked too analytical, especially in training.
Thanks and best regards!
Hello Ruben
One can say that the two methodologies are sisters but there are nuances that differentiate them.
The integrated methodology theories focus on the knowledge of the person as a living, as a complex network that is articulated through the relationship of 6 structures (Conditional / physical, cognitive / Tactical Coordinator / Technical, Creative, Expressive, Socio-emotional and emotional-volitional). During the training process creates Tasks (what the teacher called simulated Seirul.lo Preferred) interaction in which to resolve neceario optimization is one of those structures on the other. In other words, these tasks affect certain aspects of our players and team we want to improve.
But these tasks can be general, directed, or competitive special loads according to the schedule you have defined for the different microcycles (called "structured") to try to influence the fitness of players and / or equipment.
Tactical Periodization and focuses primarily on the first day of spring training to try to improve the tactical level of the players from principles and system / s that the coach intended to establish. All structures (physical, technical, psychological, etc.) are fully subject to it.
As for your second question I think if you totally, but progressively, from global methodologies to more evolved as the Tactical Periodization. I do not know how to work in Basketball but it remains a sport of situation that leads to ways of understanding the training process virtually identical to those of football. Moreover, from a level would be even desirable if coaching is having a solid foundation of tactical systems and the principles that are to be introduced. They also should follow a logical and planned so that players can assimilate these concepts.
Thank you for your assistance and a warm greeting

A greeting
Hello Gonzalo
